Welcome to Our Restaurant

Beddington Park was originally part of the deer park attached to Carew Manor, which was once a major country house. At its height in the Tudor period the park occupied almost all the land between Mitcham Common, Beddington Lane, Croydon Road and London Road. At the beginning of the 18th century a long canal-like lake was created in front of Carew Manor. There were avenues of trees along either side and two other avenues radiating out across the park from the west front of the house.

Having acquired The Grange at the end of last year, the owner has quietly gone about restoring the building to its former glory, in order for it to offer the perfect venue on the edge of one of London’s most inviting parks.

With a New General Manager, a new kitchen brigade and refurbishments in place, the team at The Grange are fully geared to welcome you as the weather gets warmer – whether it’s simply for a coffee in the morning, to try our new continental menu, take a break for tea and cakes after a walk in the park, or for evening dinner.

Having aquired outdoor seating again, it makes the Grange the perfect place to enjoy the summer weather, with our extensive bar and drinks menu whilst relaxing watching the kids play or fish in the River Wandle.

The Grange has changed. We’ll think you’ll like what you find.
